Hervey Bay Fishing Site Takes Bite

Hervey Bay Downunder's fishing pages have recently been revamped with loads of great fish & fishing related information to give the site plenty of bait for readers. We've includes new features such as Google maps showing where all the Tackle Shops are in town, we have plenty of information about fish species that frequent Hervey Bay water ways, we've even created an interactive Google Map that reveals Syd's best fishing spots in Hervey Bay, something Syd has kept secret for almost 30 years now.

We have plenty more plans to introduce even more information over the coming weeks, particularly as we close in on the Go Live date of the new QLD Fishing Regulations, which of course includes new bag limits and increased sizes for many commonly caught species. The Go Live date is set for 1st March 2009, but you can download the information now in readiness for the changes by Clicking Here. The new Regulations have been designed to safeguard the future of QLD's fish stocks, while maintaining a practical and feasible set of regulations for commercial and recreational fishing enthusiasts.

It is hoped that the new Hervey Bay Downunder Fishing Pages will attract readers from across the region and the country by providing all the information anyone planning to fish Hervey Bay waters will need. You can visit the new site now at Hervey Bay Downunder - Fishing.

TV's or Tourism?

Struggling tourism businesses in Hervey Bay are now looking for support from the ever growing number of locals to help carry them through this period of economic slowdown. If you've recently received a government handout and brought your new plasma television or upright side-by-side refrigerator, now might be a really good time to help some struggling local businesses, rather than sending those precious $'s back to China or Taiwan. Why not wander down to the Hervey Bay Foreshore along the Esplanade at Torquay and enjoy and a cup of coffee, buy a pair of shoes or that fabulous new dress or even stop in for a Big Breakfast or a light lunch and support those businesses who struggle day in day out to keep the tourists happy... after all, if the tourists stop coming, this town dies!

There are plenty of wonderful small businesses along The Esplanade at Torquay just waiting for you to take advantage of. Why not try on that next new dress from Club Chill (416 the Esplanade) or Coffee from Voucher Cafe (417c The Esplanade), or there is Banana Bender or Rush or all your surf wear needs. There are Travel & Real Estate Agencies, Law Firms, Doctor & Dental Practices, Cafe's & Restaurants galore... even Supermarkets, Banks, a Post Office and much much more.

Come on down, say G'Day, we're always happy to see some local support on the Esplanade and you never know, you might just find a new favourite joint!
